At the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Ball, better known as the Met Gala, in New York, stars impress not only with branded dresses but also with extravagant hairstyles, manicures, and makeup. One of the most controversial looks of this year was that of Gwendoline Christie, a British actress.

The star, known for her roles as Brienne of Tarth in the Game of Thrones series and Captain Phasma in the Star Wars saga, went to the paparazzi with a hairstyle resembling a stork's nest. OBOZ.UA will show her from different angles.

The actress's lush hairstyle was not adorned with accessories, because it was an accent element in the celebrity's look even without them.

If you look at the hairstyle from behind, you can see that it was put up in a ponytail, which was then fluffed up to a state similar to cotton candy. Interestingly, the hairstyle didn't fall apart and kept its shape until the end of the event, so it looks like it was fixed with a crazy amount of styling products.

It looked like a "nest" because of its horizontal position and flattened shape.

The image was complemented by a dress that was included in the list of the most unsuccessful Met Gala looks, because the outfit looked too gloomy and had no references to the dress code set by the organizers – the Garden of Time.
