Application technique
Mary Phillips, who often creates makeup for celebrities, such as Kendall Jenner and Jennifer Lopez, told us how to get an instant eye lift. The main rule is not to create a multi-layered application of the product. Concealer can get caught in creases and fine lines, especially if you use a dense texture.
The first dot should be applied near the nose and blended with a sponge, then the second dot should be applied in the inner corner of the eye, and the third dot should be applied in the outer corner.
Additional tips
Do not skip the preparatory stage. A high-quality primer or moisturizer will not only fill in irregularities and wrinkles but also contribute to better application and longer-lasting makeup.
"With a primer, your concealer will last at least eight hours without the need for touch-ups," said makeup artist Natasha Moore.
It is best to use light concealers that completely cover dark spots. However, the experts disagree with the popular advice to apply concealers that are lighter than the natural skin tone.
"It's a common mistake to choose a concealer shade that is lighter than your skin, as this will only emphasize the product," Moore summarized.
Choose a shade that matches your skin tone and lightly press it in with a sponge. The concealer should not be rubbed on the skin – it should cover irregularities and dark circles.
