Step one: take care of moisturizing

No self-tanner will lie flat on skin that suffers from dryness - it flakes and wrinkles. This is especially true for hands, feet, elbows, knees, and ankles. So before you start working on your skin color, take care of its condition. A few days before the procedure, start drinking more water and thoroughly lubricate your entire body with moisturizers - cream, lotion, milk, etc. Pay special attention to problem areas.
