Eyes are an indicator of your mood, how much you slept last night and the night before, and, unfortunately, your age. They are one of the first areas of the face to show signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, and deepened dark circles. But all of this can be corrected with the right makeup.

Experts say that with age, you can change several methods of applying cosmetics in the eye area to create a younger and fresher look. OBOZ.UA has collected these techniques.

Highlight the upper eyelid with black

A dark eyeliner is a key product that should be in every makeup bag. Draw a black pencil along the water line of the upper eyelid. This will highlight the look and emphasize the color of the eyes. In addition, it will greatly improve your eyeliner technique.

Apply a white pencil to the lower water line

Applying black eyeliner to the eyelids is not the only way to make your eyes more expressive. When you apply white or nude eyeliner to the lower water line, your eyes instantly widen. This immediately makes you look younger. It also gives you a rested look.

Try the widened cat eye

The cat eye makeup looks like an arrow with a small tail. But go bold and lengthen this tail. This will emphasize the outer corner of the eye and lift and tighten it. Apply an additional coat of mascara only to the outer lashes to complete the look.

Use mascara carefully

If you wear eyeliner, mascara is a must. Well-defined eyelashes also allow you to open your eyes better and make your eyes look more youthful. Focus on volume and use two coats. To lengthen your lashes and open your eyes, use a curling iron or even a spoon before applying mascara.

Contour your eyes with eyeshadow

Apply a medium to medium-deep nude eyeshadow to the outer part of the lid crease. This contouring adds depth and definition to the eyes, making them appear larger, brighter, and more defined. Use one color for the entire crease, and then make it darker by adding a shade near the outer corner, blending it upward.

Make accents with lighter colors

Choose lighter shadows for accents. Use matte or shimmery textures to emphasize the inner corner, lower lash line, and moving eyelid. This will make the whole look fresher and more rested.
