Celebrity fitness trainer and healthy lifestyle expert Anita Lutsenko spoke about effective ways to lose weight in the summer and shared the myths she faces in her work. The motivational coach told about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

"The most common myths about losing weight often relate to nutrition," says Anita Lutsenko, "For example, to lose weight, you need to eat little and be sure to remove cereals, bread, and potatoes from your diet. However, if you give up on carbohydrates, you can forget about a healthy, balanced diet. In particular, the fact that vegetarianism and fasting help to lose weight is an absolute myth."

"It's also not true that you can lose weight in the abdomen just by doing abdominal exercises and not adjusting your diet. And a very common myth is that crepitation is good. If your body hurts after a workout, it means that your muscles have been severely injured and need a longer recovery," the expert adds.

When asked why it happens that there are people who eat chops for dinner every day and are thin, while others gain weight just from the smell of this meat, Lutsenko is surprised by the answer: "A chop for dinner is a good option for losing weight, especially if it's chicken and you add more vegetables to the plate. In general, if we were to film everything a particular person eats during the day and mathematically calculate the number of calories consumed, the balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and take into account physical activity and body types, we would not find any miracles.

"Everything on this planet is governed by the laws of physics, which state that energy cannot come from nowhere," Lutsenko continues, "If the body stores fat as an energy reserve, say, on the stomach, hips, or arms, it means that the person has consumed too much energy and the rest of it has gone into reserve. Another problem is that people don't realize that a 100 gram piece of cake has more fat and calories than a soup with meatballs, bread, salad, buckwheat, and fruit."

Anita Lutsenko shared simple and effective ways to lose weight in the summer: "First of all, I would advise you to include at least a 15-minute workout in your daily routine and go to bed before 10 p.m. to get enough sleep, especially if you may have anxiety at night. In general, a regimen is the key to success, so if you eat consistently three times a day without snacks, both your diet and body condition will improve."

The expert noted that the psycho-emotional state of a person is also important, because "nothing provokes rapid weight loss and lack of weight gain like a nervous state." "So when I notice that a person is losing a lot of weight, I always ask them if they are okay and if they need my moral support."
