Lean yeast-free chebureks with cabbage: a hearty dish in minutes
Chebureks are a tasty and quite satisfying dish that doesn't take much time to prepare. For them, you need to make a simple yeast-free dough and prepare the filling. Most often, meat or minced meat is used, but if you don't have any at home or are fasting, you can use ordinary sauerkraut and fresh cabbage.
The recipe for lean chebureks with cabbage was shared by Ukrainian chef Serhiy Pokanevych on his Instagram page.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- flour - 350 g
- water - 125 ml
- oil - 100 ml
- salt, pepper - a pinch
For the filling:
- onion - 2 pcs
- cabbage (young) - 1/4 head
- sauerkraut - 150 g
- salt, pepper - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Pour the flour into a deep bowl and make a well.
2. Pour water and oil in it. Add salt and pepper. Knead the dough.
3. For the filling, chop the onion and fry until soft.
4. Add fresh cabbage and sauerkraut to the onion. Season with salt and pepper. Fry until the cabbage is tender.
5. Roll out the dough and cut out medium-sized circles.
6. Put the filling in and form the chebureks.
7. Fry them in a large amount of vegetable oil.
