Today FoodOboz editorial team shares 2 recipes for fluffy, airy and delicious cottage cheese donuts that will be a great addition to tea.
1. With cherries
Ingredients:
- flour - 1 kg
- yeast - 40 g
- cottage cheese - 400-500 g
- milk - 1 glass
- eggs - 2 pcs
- yolks - 2 pcs
- sugar - 100 g
- butter - 100 g
- cherries - 500-700 g
- oil - 0.5 liters
- powdered sugar - 50 g
- salt - a pinch
How to prepare:
- Heat the milk, add the yeast, 1 tbsp of sugar, salt, and 1 tbsp of flour. Mix everything thoroughly and leave for 10-15 minutes.
- Grind the cottage cheese through a sieve, add eggs, sugar and melted butter, put everything in a blender and beat until smooth.
- Add the resulting cottage cheese mixture to the yeast mixture and mix.
- Sift the remaining flour and add to the dough. Mix well.
- Put the finished dough into a deep bowl, cover with cling film and leave it for 1 hour to rise.
- Wash the cherries and remove the pits.
- When the dough is ready, you can start forming the donuts: take a ball of dough with your hands, make a depression, put a few cherries in it, and roll it into a ball with your hands.
- Heat the oil well in a deep frying pan, throw the donuts in, and fry until they are done.
- Afterwards, put them on a paper towel to drain all the excess fat.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
2. Without yeast and oil
Ingredients:
- flour - 300 g
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- vanilla sugar - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 50 g
- cottage cheese - 300 g
- sugar - 80 g
- eggs - 1 pc
- oil - 1 tbsp
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
- Beat the egg with sugar and vanilla sugar, add salt, sour cream, butter and cottage cheese, and mix thoroughly.
- Sift the flour twice, add the baking powder and mix. Knead the elastic dough with your hands.
- Sprinkle the table with flour and put the dough out, mixing well again. Then make a sausage out of the dough, divide it into 10-12 pieces, make balls and press them down a little
- Take a small cup and squeeze out the center.
- Cover a baking sheet with parchment and put the donuts on it. Be sure to brush with milk so they will be golden brown.
- Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle the finished donuts with powdered sugar, it will be delicious.
