Tastier than dumplings: lush Poltava dumplings with minced meat and mushroom sauce for a snack
Poltava dumplings are a very simple and satisfying dish based on dough with meat filling. Add mushroom sauce for a bright flavor!
The cook shared a recipe for very hearty and delicious Poltava dumplings with mushroom sauce on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 300 ml of kefir
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of salt
- 0.5 h l of soda
- 500 g of flour
Filling:
- 2 chicken fillets
- 2 onions
- oil, broth, spices, herbs as desired
Mushroom sauce with sour cream:
- 100 g of champignons
- 1 onion
- 200 g of sour cream
- 100 g of water
- spices, fresh herbs
Method of preparation:
1. Filling: boil the fillet, fry the onion and beat everything in a blender, add a small amount of broth in which the fillet was cooked, add herbs, salt and pepper to taste.
2. For the dough: mix all the ingredients, the dough should be soft. Leave it for 10 minutes.
3. Prepare the gravy: dice the onion, fry for 5 minutes, add the sliced mushrooms, spices to taste, sour cream and water. Simmer for a few minutes.
4. Divide the dough into balls and form dumplings. Steam each batch for five minutes.
Put them in a saucepan with a lid, pour the gravy over them, and you're ready to eat!
