How to make red currant jam: not too sweet and has a slight sourness
Red currant jam is another win-win option for preserving for the winter. This jam is very tasty, and flavorful, and has a wonderful color. It has a slight sourness and is not sugary – ideal for baking.

Ingredients for 4 0.5 liter jars:
- red currants (red or white) - 1 liter (500 g)
- currants - 1 liter (500 g)
- raspberries - 0.5 liters
- lemon (orange) - 1 pc.
- sugar - 1250 g
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and wash the red currants, currants, and raspberries under running water.
2. Beat the berries with a blender.
3. Pre-grind the lemon with the peel and add to the berries. Also, add sugar. Stir and put on low heat. When the jam boils, remove it from the stove.
4. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars. Close with sterile lids. Turn upside down and leave for 5 minutes, then store.
