Raspberries are very tasty and valuable berries that contain a lot of vitamins. It can be the basis for pies, dumplings, and delicious homemade wines,  It is also used to freeze it and to make flavorful jam.

Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for delicious raspberry jam with orange and vinegar on his website, which is very flavorful and moderately sweet.

Cook's tip: add a little balsamic vinegar to add a special spicy note to the jam.

Ingredients:

  • raspberries – 1 kg
  • sugar – 500 g
  • orange pulp – 100 g
  • zest of half an orange
  • balsamic vinegar – 30 ml

Method of preparation:

1. Pick the raspberries and leave only the whole, undamaged berries. Put them in a saucepan, cover with sugar, and let stand for 20-30 minutes to let the raspberries release their juice.

2. Put a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Be sure to stir occasionally with a spoon. Cook the jam for 5-10 minutes after boiling.

3. Cut the orange into slices and add to the jam. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and cook for another 5 minutes.

4. Put the hot jam in sterile jars and seal the lids.
