Traditional pancakes are made with milk, kefir, whey, and sour cream. But to make them lacy and airy, you need to add yeast. Also, fry using a special technology.

Food blogger Viktoria Kiktenko (kik_vika_) shared how to make dough for lace pancakes and how to fry them properly on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • milk - 0.5 l
  • pressed yeast - 15 g (dry yeast - 5 g)
  • sugar - 100 g
  • salt - 0.5 tsp
  • flour - 350 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • water - 150 ml
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml

Method of preparation:

1. Immediately add everything (eggs, salt, sugar, yeast) to warm milk and mix with a whisk until smooth.

2. Add the flour and mix until smooth. It is better to sift the flour.

3. Cover with a towel (preferably a damp one) and place in a warm place for about 40 minutes to 1 hour. During this time, the dough will come up a little and look like a gel.

4. Add the oil and water and mix.

5. The dough is ready for frying.
