Classic adjika can be made not only with tomatoes but also with plums. In this form, the preparation immediately becomes beautiful, flavorful, and has a pleasant sourness. Most importantly, it takes only 30-40 minutes to prepare.
Food blogger Uliana with the nickname uliana.blog_ shared a recipe for adjika with plums, bell peppers and tomatoes on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- plums - 1 kg
- tomatoes without skin - 0.5 kg
- garlic - 1 head
- hot pepper - 2-3 pcs
- sugar - 1 glass
- salt - 2 tbsp
- vinegar - 40 ml
Method of preparation:
1. First, you need to prepare the vegetables: plums, tomatoes, garlic and peppers. Pass all the prepared vegetables through a meat grinder.
2. Pour the resulting mass into a saucepan, add sugar and salt. Stir and put on fire. Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes.
3. Add vinegar 5 minutes before cooking.
4. Pour the hot adjika into sterile jars and roll up the lids. It's ready!
