Summer berry pie: a recipe for the simplest pastries

Homemade pies can be made with yeast or sandy dough. For summer pies, it is best to use fresh berries and fruits.

Homemade berry pie

The cook shared a recipe for a delicious berry pie with two types of dough on Instagram.

Pie recipe


  • Butter - 60 g
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Egg - 1 pc. large
  • Milk - 80 g
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt - 1 tbsp
  • Flour - 200 g
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon - optional
  • Vanilla - optional
  • A pinch of salt
  • Baking powder - 2 tsp.
  • Frozen raspberries - 100 g (you can use any other favorite berry);
  • Raspberry jam - 100 g

The second dough:

  • Melted butter - 30 g
  • Sugar - 50 g
  • Flour - 50 g
  • Cinnamon.

Method of preparation:

1. First, prepare the first dough: beat the soft butter (60 g), add sugar, and beat again, then add the egg and beat again. Add milk and sour cream (yogurt). Then add the flour, zest, vanilla, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix everything until smooth.

2. Prepare the second crumble dough: add sugar and flour to the melted butter and whisk until smooth. The consistency should be like sand.

3. Put half of the first dough on the bottom of the mold. Top with a layer of jam. Add the frozen berries to the second half of the dough and put the jam on top. Sprinkle with the second dough and bake at 180 C for 30-40 minutes.

4. Check the cake with a wooden toothpick so that the dough does not stretch and let it cool in the mold for at least 20 minutes before eating.
