Pita bread is a versatile base for a variety of baked goods if you don't have time to knead the dough. All you need are a few simple ingredients. The combination of cheese and herbs for the filling is especially tasty.

The idea of making a simple pita bread pie with cottage cheese was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Galina reeixit .

Ingredients:

  • pita bread 4-5 sheets
  • cheese - 350 g
  • greens - a bunch
  • sesame seeds - 2 tbsp
  • salt - 0.5 tsp
  • granulated garlic - 1 tsp.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • warm milk (30-40 degrees) - 250 ml
  • melted butter - 50 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • flour (corn) - 2 tbsp
  • salt - 0.5 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Finely chop the greens.

2. Add to the cheese.

3. Add spices and mix well.

4. Melt the butter.

5. Add eggs, flour and a little salt to the warm milk.

6. Mix everything well.

7. Cover the bottom of the mold with a solid sheet of pita bread.

8. Put some of the cheese.

9. Tear the pita bread into pieces on top.

10. Pour over the filling.

11. Repeat the layers again in the same sequence.

12. Tear the pita bread with the top layer and pour the filling.

13. Bake for 45 minutes at 160 degrees.
