Potato cakes with meat from yesterday's mashed potatoes: a simple recipe for a hearty dish
If you want to throw away yesterday's mashed potatoes, don't rush, because they can be used to make delicious, satisfying dishes such as zrazy, pies and cutlets. And if you experiment a little, adding just a few unusual ingredients, you can get an original, delicious dish.
Cook Olga Matviy shared a recipe for delicious potato pancakes with meat on her YouTube channel, which always turn out well (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
Ingredients:
- Boiled potatoes - 5 pcs.
- Onion - 2 pcs.
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Flour - 2 tbsp. spoons with a slide
- Minced chicken - 250 g
- Pork neck - 150 g
- Lard - 200 g
- Cheese - 200 g
- Salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the potatoes if they are mashed yesterday, and mash them well if they are fresh.
2. Add the egg, salt, and pepper and mix well with a spoon.
3. Add the flour and knead into a smooth dough.
4. Dice the onion, lard, and meat (it is better to use two types of meat), and mix the onion and the minced meat.
5. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, put the dough balls, make indentations in them, and put the minced meat in them.
6. Sprinkle grated hard cheese on top.
7. Put the finished dish in the oven for 40 minutes at 180°C.
The cheesecakes will be very satisfying, flavorful, and delicious!
