Lightly salted salmon for a festive table: how to cook fish tasty and properly
Red fish is an ideal product for making sandwiches, salads, and tartare. To ensure that the fish has a good flavor and aroma, it is best to salt it yourself at home. For a spicy taste, you can add zest and beets to the marinade.
Culinary expert Oleksandr Ogorodnyk shared a recipe for delicious Gravlax marinated salmon with beets and lemon on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- salmon - 0.50
- beetroot - 1 pc.
- lemon (zest) - 1 pc.
- salt - 3 tbsp.
- sugar - 2 tbsp.
- black - 1/2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the beets.
2. Mix the salt and sugar separately. Add pepper and lemon zest, half of the salt and sugar to the beets and mix everything.
3. Pour the rest of the salt and sugar on the cling film, spread it over the surface so that when you put the salmon, the salt covers the entire bottom evenly.
4. Put the salmon on top of the beetroot mixture in an even layer. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12 hours.
5. Then rinse in cold water, dry with napkins and eat.
