Tips from the cook:
1. How to boil buckwheat in water
Wash the buckwheat and cover with cold water in a ratio of 1:2, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat without a lid or over low heat with a lid for 20 minutes until all the water is absorbed by the groats. Once cooked, add butter or season the groats with olive oil.
2. How to cook buckwheat in broth
If you boil buckwheat in broth, it will be much tastier and more flavorful; it can be cooked in vegetable, mushroom or meat broth. The process of cooking the cereal will be the same as in water.
3. How to cook buckwheat in a slow cooker
Wash the groats, pour them into the multicooker bowl, add two glasses of water and select the porridge cooking mode.
4. How to cook buckwheat in the oven
Just wash the buckwheat, put it in a baking dish, add water or broth, add spices and cook for 30 minutes at 180 C.
How to add flavor and aroma to cereal
To make buckwheat tasty, you should add spices to it. Cardamom, cinnamon, and star anise are best for this, but you can also add black pepper, bay leaf, and cloves.
The cook also advises adding salt and butter to buckwheat.
