How to fry potatoes correctly so that they do not stick and have a crispy crust: life hack
Fried potatoes are a dish that everyone loves. And at first glance, it's very easy to prepare. But it often turns out to be one piece, poorly fried or like mashed potatoes. To avoid this, you need to know a few simple rules for cooking fried potatoes, namely: they need to be soaked in ice water and fried in well-heated oil and over very high heat.
Cook Victoria (cook_with_me_at_home ) shared her recipe and secrets for making delicious fried potatoes on Instagram, which will turn out to be well-done and golden brown.
Cook's secret: Fry the potatoes in hot oil and do not stir for 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 1-1.1 kg (peeled)
- salt - 1.5 tsp.
- oil - 70-80 ml
- favorite spices - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into rough slices.
2. Season with salt and mix well.
3. Heat the oil well in a deep frying pan over high heat. When the oil is hot, reduce the gas to a minimum and carefully put the potatoes and cover with a lid, cook for 15 minutes until the potatoes are half cooked. Do not stir the potatoes.
4. Next, remove the lid and turn up the heat to high. When the potatoes are well browned on the bottom, carefully turn them over. After that, you need to turn it 2 more times so that the bottom browns but does not burn.
5. Add pepper, spices and chopped herbs at the end.
