How to fry a pumpkin deliciously: better than potatoes
Seasonal pumpkin is often used to make a variety of soups, pies, or fillings. But if you just want to eat pumpkin in its purest form, you can fry it. This is a healthy alternative to traditional potatoes and takes much less time. In addition, even though there are few ingredients in such a dish, it turns out to be extremely satisfying and nutritious.
The idea of cooking fried pumpkin in sour cream was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Vira with the nickname vera_cooking8 .
Ingredients:
- 500 g of peeled pumpkin
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 180 g of methane
- 20 ml of cold water
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 0.5 tsp of paprika
- herbs (parsley, dill)
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Peel and dice the pumpkin.
2. Fry until golden brown for 7-10 minutes.
3. Add the sauce (sour cream, herbs, paprika, garlic).
4. Simmer for 2-3 minutes and add 20 ml of cold water.
5. Leave under the lid closed for another 5 minutes.
