How to cook successful aspic without pork: a secret hack

Aspic is a delicious dish that usually takes about 5 hours to prepare, but the result is worth it. The most important thing when cooking is to wash the meat thoroughly, otherwise it will be cloudy.

Food blogger Olena Yermolenko shared a recipe for a delicious, successful, and transparent aspic that can be made without pork on Instagram.

The cook advises to buy beef tail for the dish, thanks to which it will freeze very well.

Ingredients:

  • beef tail - 1 pc
  • turkey leg (lower part) - 1 pc
  • onion - 1 pc
  • bay leaf - 2-3 pcs
  • salt - 1 tbsp
  • garlic - 3-4 cloves

Method of preparation:

1. Chop the tail and wash it well.

2. Be sure to remove the skin from the turkey. Wash the meat.

3. Put everything in cold water, bring to a boil, drain, rinse and pour in new water.

4. Then add the onion, salt and bay leaf.

5. Cook the aspic over low heat for 4 hours.

6. Then let the meat cool and separate from the bones.

7. Put in dishes, pour the broth over and add the garlic.

8. It is important to wipe each plate with a paper towel for a couple of seconds to remove excess broth.

9. Put in the refrigerator overnight.

Serve this delicious dish with mustard and horseradish.
