Healthy oatmeal cookies: can be given to children for a snack
For many people, starting the morning with oatmeal is the key to a healthy diet. But not everyone can eat this product in its usual boiled form with milk or water. Especially children. A good alternative is oatmeal cookies, which can even be given to kids for a snack. It makes a sweet dessert for tea. And it can be very easily prepared at home.
The idea of making homemade oatmeal cookies was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia (cooking.by.yuliia).
Ingredients:
- oatmeal - 250 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- honey - 100 g
- vegetable oil - 4 tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- vanilla
- salt - a pinch
Optionally, you can add:
- cinnamon - 1/3 tsp.
- chocolate - 30 g
- cranberries - 20 g
Method of preparation:
1. Add all dry ingredients to the oatmeal.
2. Mix honey, egg, and oil separately. Then add this mixture to the dry ingredients.
3. Mix everything and add the chopped dried fruit and chocolate.
4. Using wet palms, form balls and place them on a baking sheet. You can flatten them a little.
5. Bake at 170 degrees for 10-11 minutes.
