Gourmet apple crumble pie: lots of filling and little flour
A lot of filling, little flour, moderately sweet and very tender – this is how you can characterize an apple pie, which is made special by a special crumble. This is the perfect pastry if you're tired of the usual pies and the same charlotte.
Food blogger Valentyna Saienko, known as valya saenko , shared a recipe for apple pie with crumble on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
For the crumble:
- sugar – 80 g
- butter – 50 g
- flour – 100 g
For the pie:
- apples – 5 pcs (it is better to take different varieties)
- raisins or cranberries – 50 g
- nuts – 50 g
- lime or lemon – 1\2 pcs
- milk – 200 g
- eggs – 2 pcs
- sugar – 150 g
- vanilla sugar
- flour – 70 g
- baking powder – 5 g
Method of preparation:
1. To make the crumble, mix all the ingredients until they become crumbs. The butter should be cold.
2. Next, prepare the filling. To do this, peel the apples, cut them in half, and then cut them into thin slices.
3. Mix the apples with nuts, dried fruit, zest, and lime or lemon juice.
4. Mix milk, 2 eggs, sugar, vanilla, flour, and baking powder separately. Pour the mixture over the apples.
5. Cover the baking dish with parchment. Pour half of the crumble on the bottom.
6. Put the apples in the dough and sprinkle them with the rest of the crumble.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 1 hour-1 hour 20 minutes.
