Fluffy cottage cheese donuts with a filling: no yeast needed
Cottage cheese donuts are a very simple and quick dessert to make for a quick tea. They are made based on a universal cottage cheese dough that does not require yeast. You can make them with a filling: jam, jam, chocolate, cream, or condensed milk. Or just serve them with powdered sugar.
Food blogger Maryna Novikova (marisha_recepti) shared a recipe for cottage cheese donuts with chocolate filling on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese – 400 g
- eggs – 2 pcs
- sugar – 3 tbsp
- baking soda – 1 tsp
- vanilla sugar –1 tsp
- salt – 1\3 tsp
- flour – 220 g
- vegetable oil for frying – 500 ml
Optional:
- chocolate
- powdered sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Mix cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, baking soda, vanilla sugar, and salt in a bowl. Stir well.
2. Add flour and knead the dough first with a spoon, then with your hands.
3. Form the dough into a long sausage and cut it into portions. Wrap a piece of chocolate in each of them and form balls.
