Dried tomatoes are a very interesting and easy-to-prepare preservation that will add a new, interesting flavor to any dish.

Chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo shared how to make dried tomatoes on Instagram. He also described the preservation process, which will keep the dish fresh for a long time, in detail.

Ingredients

  • cherry tomatoes
  • dry garlic
  • thyme or other aromatic herbs
  • oil
  • fresh garlic
  • salt

Ingredients for the filling

1. Cut the tomatoes in half and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet close enough.

2. Peel the garlic, cut into slices and add to the tomatoes. Sprinkle with herbs, dry garlic, and salt and drizzle with oil.

3. Dry at 100° for 9 hours with the top/bottom mode without convection. Open the oven door occasionally to allow condensation to escape.

4. Put chopped herbs, garlic, and salt in a jar. Add the cooked tomatoes, spices and oil.

5. Put them in the fridge for a few hours.
