Delicious meat rolls with lard and garlic
If you love meat but are tired of the usual cutlets, no problem. After all, this product can be used to make many delicious and hearty dishes, such as zrazy, dumplings, pies, and meatballs. They can also be baked with vegetables, as well as grilled.
Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for delicious meat rolls kruchenyky with lard, which you can prepare in 20 minutes, on his website.
Tips from the chef:
- You can use different types of meat for this dish, such as beef, chicken, or turkey.
- Lard should be without meat streaks. Be sure to add garlic, and if you want a more savory version of the dish, add chili pepper.
- Don't forget the herbs and thyme for flavor.
Ingredients:
- pork tenderloin - 250 g
- lard - 100 g
- garlic - 1 clove
- fresh dill - 10-12 sprigs
- semolina - 50 g
- flour - 50 g
- sunflower oil - 2-3 tbsp
- eggs - 1 pc
- thyme - a pinch
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Wash and dry the meat, and cut it into equal pieces. Important: before pounding the meat, cover each piece with cling film.
2. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Cut the lard into small pieces and put it in a blender bowl. Add 1 clove of garlic, 10-12 sprigs of dill, and a little ground thyme and beat until smooth.
4. Add to the meat and wrap it gently in rolls, making sure to secure them with a toothpick.
5. For the breaidng, fill one bowl with flour, another with a beaten egg, and a third with semolina.
6. Dip the finished rolls in flour, then in an egg and finally in semolina.
7. Preheat the oven to 220 C.
8. Fry the ready-made rolls in a pan until golden brown, then put them on a baking sheet with parchment and bake at 180°C for only 15 minutes.
