Delicious Korean carrots: what to marinate the vegetable in
Traditional Korean carrots usually require sugar, vinegar, oil, and spices. But there is one idea that makes the vegetable very savory, aromatic, and spicy. For a bright flavor, add soy sauce and garlic. It turns out to be a spectacular appetizer on its own.
An elementary idea for cooking carrots in Korean is published on the Instagram page of food blogger Victoria with the nickname v.vanilinka.
Ingredients:
- carrots - 500 g
- oil - 30 ml
- soy sauce - 30 ml
- vinegar - 1.5 tbsp
- garlic - 4 cloves
- sugar - 1.5 tbsp
- ground pepper - 1/2 tsp.
- ground coriander - 1/2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Grate delicious, juicy carrots on a Korean carrot grater.
2. Mix all other ingredients well and season the carrots.
3. Leave to marinate for 2-3 hours.
4. Optionally, add finely chopped hot pepper.
