Beetroot jam with chocolate and mint according to the original recipe by Yevhen Klopotenko
Beetroot is not only a healthy and tasty vegetable used to make salads and borscht, but also a product that can become the basis for very unusual dishes, such as jam. You just need to dilute the flavor with chocolate, nuts, and mint.
Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko has shared a recipe for delicious beetroot jam with chocolate on his website, the taste of which will definitely surprise you.
Ingredients:
- beets - 1 pc.
- water - 50 ml
- sugar - 400
- dark chocolate - 100 g
- walnuts - 80 g
- mint - 10 g
Method of preparation:
1. Wash, boil or bake the beets.
2. Then let the vegetable cool, peel it, grate it on a coarse grater, and put it in a saucepan.
3. Add water, sugar, bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Chop the nuts and pour into a saucepan, cook over low heat until the jam begins to thicken.
5. Add the chopped mint and chopped chocolate to the finished "jam", stir and cook until the chocolate is completely dissolved.
6. Put everything in sterile jars and preserve.
Store the jam for up to 6 months. Or simply put it in dry, clean jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days!
