A simple gravy can make dishes more satisfying and tasty, and it's perfect for mashed potatoes, pasta, buckwheat, rice, cutlets, and even dumplings. It can be prepared with or without meat, mushrooms, and can be based on tomato paste or another sauce.
A recipe for mushroom gravy for mashed potatoes, pasta, and cereals was posted on Instagram by one of the cooking blogs (vika_tasty).
Ingredients:
- champignons - 300 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- fat sour cream - 200 g
- butter - 50 g
- flour - 1-2 tbsp.
- water - 1 glass
- salt, pepper, spices
Method of preparation:
1. Wash and randomly chop the mushrooms. Fry them in butter for 20 minutes. Add salt. When the liquid forms, put the mushrooms in a saucepan.
2. Meanwhile, chop and fry the onion in butter until golden brown. When ready, add to the mushrooms. Add spices and salt.
3. Mix sour cream and water in a deep bowl. Add to the mushrooms.
4. Dissolve the flour in the water, and stir to avoid lumps. Pour over the mushrooms.
5. Put the pan on the fire and simmer for 20-30 minutes. If the gravy is too thick, you can add water.
