Zharenka is an old recipe for stewed potatoes which our grandmothers used to cook. The traditional way of cooking is in a Ukrainian pich (stove), which in modern conditions can be easily replaced by an oven. This stew is combined with lard, meat, vegetables, milk and sour cream, as well as whole cabbage leaves for a special flavor.

Food blogger Svitlana with the nickname _svetlana_verg shared a recipe for zharenka or stewed potatoes on her Instagram page.
