Gravy is a very tasty addition to many dishes: pasta, mashed potatoes, and cereals. The basis of any gravy is meat and vegetables, as well as spices, garlic, ketchup, and herbs.

Cook Tamara shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious, hearty gravy that you can make very easily and quickly from simple ingredients.

Recipe for meat gravy

Ingredients:

  • Meat – 400 g
  • Onion – 1 pc

  • Carrots – 1 pc
Ketchup for cooking
  • Sweet pepper – 1/3 pc
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
Wheat flour
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Dried garlic, paprika, basil – to taste
Spices for the dish
  • Salt and pepper – to taste
  • Ketchup
Drinking water
  • Sugar

Method of preparation:

1. Fry the meat until tender, add salt and pepper, and simmer for a few minutes.

2. Chop the onion, add to the meat, and fry together again.

3. Dice the carrots and peppers, add to the meat with the flour, and continue to simmer.

4. Pour in the water, mix and simmer.

5. Add the spices, ketchup, and sugar, stir again, and simmer for another 15 minutes.
