Ingredients:

  • cottage cheese – 100 g
  • flour – 130-50 g
  • butter – 70 g
  • eggs (yolk) – 1 pc
  • sugar – 2 tbsp
  • baking powder – 1 tsp (without slide)

Ingredients for the filling:

  • plums – 300 g
  • starch – 1 tbsp
  • sugar – 1-2 tbsp

Method of preparation:

1. Add cold cottage cheese and cold butter (cubes) to the sifted flour with baking powder, add egg yolk, and sugar.

2. Quickly knead the soft dough.

3. Put it in the refrigerator in cling film for 30-40 minutes.

4. Pit the plums and sprinkle with sugar and starch before putting them on the dough, mix well.

5. Take out the dough, and roll it into a circle on parchment.

6. Spread the filling in the middle, 4-5 centimeters from the edge, and roll up the edges of the galette.

7. Sprinkle with sugar on top if desired.

8. Transfer to a baking sheet and put in a preheated 180-degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

9. Take out when golden brown, let cool slightly, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

A few cooking secrets:

  • The flour should not be added all at once, but gradually.
  • The cottage cheese can be blended into a homogeneous mass before adding it or rubbed through a sieve to make the dough look more uniform.
