In addition to unsaturated fats, avocados also contain some antioxidants that effectively prevent inflammation and oxidative stress (cell damage due to excessive oxidation) in blood vessels. As a result, by consuming one avocado daily, you can significantly improve blood flow and the condition of your cardiovascular system in general.

However, scientists have proven that avocados really help to lose weight: due to their high fat and fiber content (approximately 14 g per fruit), you feel completely satiated after eating them, and this saves you from the obsessive desire to snack throughout the day.

For example, a study published in the Nutrition Journal found that people who were chronically overweight lost their desire to snack for almost five hours after adding only half an avocado to their daily diet.

Recent scientific research suggests that avocados are the best thing that nature has come up with to regulate blood sugar. In a recent experiment, participants added half an avocado to their lunch, after which experts measured their blood glucose and insulin levels at regular intervals.

The results of the experiment showed that despite the fact that avocados increase the total calorie content of the meal, they do not change blood sugar levels.

And avocados contain both of them in large quantities. And it's important to keep in mind that they are absorbed in the body only as part of food, so supplements are powerless here.

That is why, if you feel that your eyesight is no longer what it used to be, you should add avocados to your daily diet. Moreover, it is the richest source of lutein among 20 other commonly consumed fruits.

Regular consumption of avocados will help stabilize your emotional state due to the high content of a number of vitamins and minerals that have a positive effect on mood changes. The body receives the full range of nutrients that are necessary for its smooth functioning. One fruit contains the following percentages of substances from the recommended daily intake: vitamin K - 53%, folate - 41%, vitamin C - 33%, vitamin B5 - 28%, potassium - 28%, vitamin B6 - 26%, vitamin E - 21%, copper - 19%. Avocados also contain lutein, thiamine, iron, niacin, riboflavin, and a whole range of antioxidants.
