Sauerkraut with pepper and hot marinade: crispy and spicy

Ingredients:
- cabbage - 1 kg
- carrots - 150 g
- bell pepper - 200 g
- garlic - 3-4 cloves.
Marinade.
- water - 0.5 liters
- salt - 1 tbsp.
- sugar - 100 g
- oil - 100 ml
- 9% vinegar - 100 ml
- peppercorns - 5-6 pcs.
- cloves - 3-4 pcs.
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop the cabbage. Squeeze well with your hands.
2. Grate the carrots. Cut the pepper into thin slices and add to the cabbage.
3. Finely chop the garlic.
4. For the marinade, add salt, sugar, and oil to boiling water. Make sure to stir. Remove from heat. Add vinegar and mix.
5. Pour the hot marinade over the cabbage and vegetables, put a plate on top, and add some weight: you can use a 3-liter jar filled with water. Leave for a day or slighly less.
6. Serve.
