Potato zrazy with mushrooms: how to fry properly so that they do not stick to the pan
Potato zrazy is one of the most delicious, simple and satisfying potato dishes. They are often made with various fillings: meat, cabbage, mushrooms, onions, and liver. They are best served cold or slightly warm and with sour cream.
On Instagram, cook Yulia Simonchuk shared a recipe for delicious zrazy with mushrooms, which should be fried for 1 minute on each side.
Ingredients:
- boiled potatoes (larger than medium) - 5-6 pcs.
- egg - 1 pc.
- flour - 2-3 tbsp
- salt, pepper - to taste
- breadcrumbs/flour for breading
Filling:
- mushrooms - 300 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- hard cheese - 50-70 g
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the potatoes in their skin and let them cool. Mash or pass them through a meat grinder.
2. Add the egg, salt, pepper and flour to the potatoes and mix until smooth.
3. For the filling, stew mushrooms with onions, salt and pepper. Cool, add grated cheese and mix.
4. Form the zrazy with a spoon: put the mass in a hand moistened with water, use the back side of the spoon to make room for the filling, put it in and pinch.
5. Roll in breadcrumbs and fry in a preheated pan over medium heat on both sides until golden brown.
