Potato pancakes or deruny are a popular potato dish that is cooked in every Ukrainian family. It would seem that making them is very simple, but only experienced housewives can make really attractive and tasty potato pancakes. Therefore, to ensure that your products are not gray but remain crispy and attractive for a long time, you should follow a few tips.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 1 kg
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • flour - 3.5 - 4 tbsp
  • garlic - 4 cloves
  • onions - 2 small or 1 large
  • ground black pepper
  • sour cream - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 1.5-2 tsp
  • oil for frying

Method of preparation:

1. If the potatoes are young and have too much "juice" in them, you can drain them through a sieve. It will taste better.

2. Fry the pancakes over high heat with enough oil.

3. Be sure to put the pancakes on paper towels after frying to gt rid of excess oil.
