The most delicious vegetables for canning are those that remain intact, juicy, spicy, and flavorful after prolonged storage in a jar. Therefore, to cook just such tomatoes, you should use the following option.

The idea of cooking lightly-salted tomatoes for the winter was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yana with the nickname kvitucha_kraina.

Ingredients for a 2-liter jar:

  • parsley
  • onion
  • chili pepper
  • sweet/bell pepper
  • tomatoes
  • salt - 1/3 of 100 g glass
  • sugar - 1/2 of 100 g glass
  • vinegar - 1/3 of 100 g glass
  • acetylsalicylic acid - 2 tablets

Method of preparation:

1. Put parsley, sliced onion, 1/3 of the chili pepper and 1/3 of the sweet/bell pepper at the bottom of the jar.

2. Fill with tomatoes.

3. Cover with boiling water, cover with lids and leave for 30 minutes.

4. Then pour the liquid from the jars into a pot/pan and bring to a boil.

5. Add salt, sugar, vinegar and acetylsalicylic acid tablets to the jars. Pour boiling brine over the tomatoes. Close with the lids.
