Recently in Ireland from the shelves of supermarkets disappeared all cucumbers. The reason for this was a viral TikTok-video from a blogger, which everyone wanted to repeat at home.

It started with Canadian resident Logan Moffitt, who is known as the "cucumber guy" on TikTok. As a result, the recipe he posted became a real hit, and farmers couldn't cope with the skyrocketing popularity of cucumbers.

Apart from cucumbers, the other ingredients needed for this recipe, namely rice vinegar, sesame oil, chili oil and garlic, have also been swept off the supermarket shelves. This recipe has made quite an explosion on social media, as it amazed people with its simplicity. However, farmers say that at this time of year, a shortage of cucumbers on farms is normal. Many people are returning home from summer vacations and putting extra strain on supplies. But why this applies specifically to cucumbers, they never explained.

By the way, Logan Moffitt is constantly releasing recipes on his page, each of which is sure to be related specifically to cucumbers. The ticktocker's crowning phrase goes as follows: "Sometimes you just need to eat a whole cucumber." It is with it that he begins almost every new video, where he presents recipes for dishes using this vegetable.
