How to make puff pastry at home.

Ingredients:

  • flour - 500-600 g
  • ice water - 300 ml
  • butter - 200 g
  • eggs - 1 pc
  • vinegar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
Knead the dough well.

Method of preparation:

  1. Combine ice water, vinegar, eggs and salt in a bowl. Whisk everything well.
  2. Sift the flour twice, add to the egg mixture, and mix well. The dough should be elastic.
  3. Then cut it into 2 parts, roll out the first one thinner so that it is 3-5 mm thick.
  4. Grease it with butter well.
  5. Then do the same with the second piece and place it on top of the first layer.
  6. Roll the finished dough tightly so that many layers are formed.
  7. Wrap it in cling film and put it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
  8. After that, press the chilled dough with a rolling pin, roll it out well, fold it into an envelope and put it back in the refrigerator. You can also use it for cooking right away.
To get good puff pastry, roll it out as thinly as possible.
