How to make parsley pesto sauce: perfect for pasta or soups
The classic pesto sauce is made from basil. But if you haven't planted such herbs this year, parsley will do for sure. It will be even more budget-friendly. The sauce will perfectly complement pasta, soup, or you can just eat it as a dip.
The idea of making parsley pesto sauce was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Daria with the nickname treskablog. It is best stored in a glass container.
Method of preparation of parsley pesto sauce:
1. Put 100 g of aged cheese in a blender.
2. Put a clove of garlic in it.
3. Add 100 g of walnuts (walnuts should be mixed with other nuts, such as cashews, otherwise the pesto will be bitter).
4. Add a pinch of salt.
5. Beat everything with an immersion blender into crumbs.
6. Add 100 g of herbs to the crumbs. It can be basil, parsley, mint, cilantro, dill, arugula, spinach.
7. Add a tablespoon of lemon juice.
8. Beat again with a blender.
9. Pour in 150 ml of extra virgin olive oil.
10. Whisk everything well again.
