They will absorb liquid, which will affect the quality in the future. Pick the berries, throw away the rotten ones, and immediately make compote from the squeezed ones," Klopotenko said.

"And if it's raspberries that you bought in a supermarket or market, then put two or three handfuls in a colander and rinse them under cold water. Then put the berries on a paper towel. It is advisable to do so so that the raspberries lie on it in one layer, so they dry faster. Leave it for at least 4-5 hours. Then start freezing," the chef advises.

For freezing raspberries, Klopotenko recommends using airtight bags measuring 20 by 40 cm.

"If you don't have a dryer, the second acceptable way is to use the oven. Put the berries on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, put in the oven at 60 C for at least 6 hours. The oven door should be slightly ajar for air circulation. This method will require your presence because you need to watch the berries. Raspberries are very delicate and can burn quickly," the chef explained.
