How to cook potatoes with herring deliciously: bake and also make a sauce

The idea of cooking baked potatoes with herring sauce was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna Movchan (katarina movchan). Sprinkle the potatoes with spices immediately, raw.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 900 g (choose medium-sized)
  • herring fillet - 400 g (or lightly salted mackerel)
  • pickles - 200 g
  • sour cream - 5 tbsp
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • dill - to taste
  • green onions - to taste
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • a little vegetable oil

Method of preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

2. Wash the potatoes well, leave the skin on.

3. Dry completely.

4. Season with salt and pepper and brush with a little oil.

5. Wrap each potato in foil.

6. Put in a baking sheet and bake in the oven until the potatoes are tender +/- 45 minutes.

7. For the sauce, cut the herring fillet and cucumbers into small cubes, squeeze the garlic through a press, and finely chop the dill and onion.

8. Combine all these ingredients with sour cream in a bowl.

9. Remove the cooked potatoes from the foil.

10. Do not cut the potatoes all the way through, open them and crush the core of the potatoes a little, making a boat.

11. Put the sauce inside.
