How not to spoil potato pancakes: effective tips
Potato pancakes or deruny are a tasty and satisfying potato dish that is seemingly easy to prepare: just grate the potatoes, add flour, spices and fry. However, very often, pancakes turn out to be tasteless, gray and stiff.
Cook Lesia Veremchuk shared a recipe for delicious, golden potato pancakes with whole wheat flour and zucchini on Instagram.
Tip: to avoid spoiling the pancakes, do not use a lot of flour or onions. For a beautiful color, you can add turmeric.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 750 g
- zucchini - 150-200 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- whole wheat flour - 30 g
- dry garlic - 1 tsp.
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the potatoes and zucchini on a fine grater. It is better to beat the onion to a puree with a blender along with the eggs.
2. Add garlic, salt, pepper and flour, and mix well. You can add cornstarch if the batter is liquid.
3. Fry the pancakes under the lid and put them on a paper towel.
Serve with yogurt or fatty sour cream!
