Homemade shortbread cookies in 20 minutes: butter and egg dough recipe

Homemade shortbread is a very convenient pastry because you can use the ingredients you have at home. For example, the dough for a dessert can be made with butter and eggs. And if you add nuts, seeds, or dried fruits to the cookies, you'll get a full-fledged homemade pastry.

Food blogger Olga Romanchuk (olya_romanchyk_) shared a recipe for homemade butter cookies on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

• flour - 400 g
• sugar - 120 g
• butter - 200 g
• eggs - 1 pc.
• baking powder - 1 tsp.

• salt
• vanilla
• peanuts
• sesame seeds

Method of preparation:

1. Soft butter mixed with sugar. Beat with a mixer until fluffy and smooth.

2. Add the egg. Beat until smooth.

3. Add salt, vanilla, flour and baking powder. Knead the elastic dough. Put it in a bag and leave it in the freezer for a while.

4. Roll out the dough and cut out cookies.

5. Bake the cookies until done.
