Homemade puffy semolina cake with nectarines: the best pastry for tea
Semolina cake is a delicious homemade pastry. The batter is mostly made with kefir, sometimes with milk and sour cream. In addition, the dessert is often topped with jam, fruit, and berries.
Food blogger Anastasia (nastia__salova) shared a recipe for manna with nectarines on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- flour - 1 cup
- semolina - 1 cup
- sugar - 1 cup
- salt - a pinch
- vanilla sugar
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 pc
- refined vegetable oil - 0.5 cup
- milk - 1 glass
- nectarines - 4 pcs
Method of preparation:
1. Sift flour into a bowl, add semolina, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir to combine.
2. Add the egg, oil and milk to the dry ingredients. Mix everything thoroughly again to avoid lumps.
3. Meanwhile, wash the nectarines and cut them into cubes. Add them to the batter. Mix everything together.
4. Pour the resulting batter into the mold and sprinkle with almond flakes if desired. Bake at 175 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
