Hummus is a chickpea paste appetizer popular in the Middle East. However, in recent years, it has gained considerable popularity in our country as well. Nowadays, hummus is served in the most famous restaurants, because its taste is simply incomparable.
A food blogger with the nickname thefoodhub.by ilona knows exactly how to make hummus at home. On Instagram, she told us what ingredients are needed to make the appetizer simply irresistible.

Ingredients
- Chickpeas - 250 gr
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Lemon juice - 2-3 tbsp
- Tahini paste - 3 tbsp
- Olive oil - 3-4 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
Method of preparation
1. Rinse the chickpeas very well several times and soak them for 2-3 hours, preferably overnight.
2. Cook the chickpeas in salted water until tender. Drain the water from the chickpeas into a separate container, we will need it later.
Boil the chickpeas.

3. Add the tahini paste to the chickpeas, squeeze the garlic and add the lemon juice. If you don't have tahini paste in the store, it's easy to make it yourself. Just blend the roasted sesame seeds and add a little olive oil.
Add all the ingredients.

4. Add the olive oil, put the chickpeas in a blender bowl and grind everything until smooth, adding the broth if necessary.

5. Season to taste with salt and lemon juice. Serve to the table.
