Instead of making a lot of small cabbage rolls, you can make a hearty cabbage snail. It also has juicy minced meat inside, but the technology of wrapping the filling takes half the time. Besides, it looks very aesthetically pleasing.

The idea of cooking a hearty cabbage snail with meat for lunch was published on the Instagram page of Myroslava Pekariuk (myroslava_pekariuk), a participant of the MasterChef project. The dish is low-fat because it is baked in the oven.

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g
  • cabbage (large) - 1 pc.
  • onion - 2 pcs.
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • pelati tomatoes - 1 can
  • bulgur - 150 g
  • salt / pepper / paprika / dried thyme

Method of preparation:

1. Dice the onion, grate the carrots and garlic.

2. Put a small portion of the carrots and onions in a separate bowl, and leave the grated garlic there as well. Fry the rest of the onion until golden brown and then add the carrots, ready to fry, mix with the vegetables.

3. Beat the pelati tomatoes until smooth.

4. Make minced meat from the turkey fillet.

5. Mix the minced meat with the vegetables.

6. Add bulgur, pelati tomatoes (2-3 tbsp), paprika, salt, pepper, chopped parsley and mix well.

7. Cut a head of cabbage from the cabbage and put it to cook, when the leaves begin to easily come off the cabbage - pick them off and leave them to cool slightly.

8. Cut each leaf in half, cut out the middle, put the filling and roll into a tube.

9. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, put the cabbage tube in the form of a snail.

10. Add salt, water, and thyme to the pelati tomatoes, mix, and pour the sauce over the snail.

11. Cover the snail with parchment (silicone) to prevent the sauce from evaporating and put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 60 minutes.
