Crispy oatmeal cookies with minimal flour: baking in 15 minutes
Crispy oatmeal cookies are a favorite home baking. After all, they are made from affordable ingredients and can be supplemented with various fillings: dried fruit, chocolate, nuts, apples, and cinnamon. It is very crispy and flavorful.
Food blogger Dina Liashyk (dina_liashyk) shared a recipe for crispy oatmeal cookies on her Instagram page.
A few secrets of cooking:
1. The cookies are very crispy if you roll out the circles thinly before baking.
2. Do not add too much flour to the dough; it has a soft and slightly sticky texture.
3. No need to wait for the cookies to harden in the oven. They become dense and crispy as they cool.
Ingredients:
- oatmeal - 100 g
- butter - 100 g
- sugar - 150 g
- flour - 25-30 g
- egg yolk - 1 pc.
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Grind oatmeal very finely in a food processor.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the crushed flakes. Mix with a spatula. The dough should be soft and sticky.
3. Take the finished dough with a spoon, forming balls. Put it on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
4. Bake in a preheated oven to 200 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
5. Cool the finished cookies on a wire rack to harden.
