Crispy and juicy country-style potatoes: how to cook the popular dish properly
If you want to cook delicious country-style potatoes, it's not enough to just chop the vegetable and put it in the oven. In order to get a crispy crust on top while keeping the center soft, you need to boil the product a little. It only takes a few minutes.
The idea of cooking juicy and crispy country-style potatoes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna Kudliak (recepty_przepisy).
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 40 g of oil
- 1.5 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried garlic
- 1 tsp of paprika
- 1 tbsp of Provence herbs
- 1/3 tsp. hot pepper
Ingredients for the sauce:
- 3 tbsp. mayonnaise or sour cream
- 1-2 cloves of garlic
- 40 g of dill
- 2-3 pickled cucumbers
- 1/3 tsp. pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the potatoes into quarters.
2. Pour boiling water overr and cook for 7 minutes from the moment of boiling.
3. Strain and add oil and spices.
4. Mix and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Bake at 230 degrees for 30 minutes.
6. Make the tartar sauce: combine mayonnaise, garlic, dill, cucumbers and pepper in a blender bowl and whisk until smooth.
