Chicken hearts with mushrooms: cooking a delicious budget dish

Chicken hearts with mushrooms is a fairly budget-friendly dish that even children will enjoy. Thanks to the successful combination of spices, the specific flavor of offal becomes imperceptible. Food blogger Olha Riabenko shared how to prepare this dish on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken hearts - 500 gr
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Butter - 20 gr
  • Mushrooms - 150 gr
  • Spices for chicken - 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Lemon pepper
  • Paprika - ½ tsp.
  • Turmeric - ½ tsp.
  • Mustard - 2 tsp.
  • Flour - 2 tbsp
  • Broth or water - 350 ml
  • Cream - 75 ml
  • Parsley

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the hearts and cut off the excess fat.

2. Cut in half, but not completely, cover with foil, and beat off.

3. Add salt, chicken spices, and lemon pepper. Leave for 15 minutes.

4. Fry the hearts in a preheated frying pan, stirring constantly for 7 minutes, and set aside.

5. Fry the onion, garlic, and mushrooms in the same pan. Fry until the onions are transparent.

6. Add the hearts to the vegetables and pour in the broth.

7. Add paprika, turmeric, mustard and salt. Mix everything and add cream. Cook for another 2 minutes.

8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
