Cheese pita pie and 10 options for delicious fillings: a simple recipe
Pita bread is an ideal product for making appetizers, lasagna, pizza, sweet pies, puffs, and Napoleon. It's also an ideal alternative to dough, which always turns out well.
Nutritionist Tetiana Lakusta shared a recipe for a delicious, light pie on Instagram, which would make a great appetizer.
Variants of fillings:
- salted cottage cheese + greens
- cottage cheese + greens + cheese
- walnuts + pumpkin
- poppy seed filling
- minced chicken
- crushed potatoes + cheese + herbs
Ingredients for the pie:
- cottage cheese – 500-600 g
- eggs – 3 pcs.
- thin pita bread – 4-5 sheets
- sour cream – 100-150 ml
- greens – to taste
- salt, pepper, dry garlic – optional
Method of preparation:
1. Mix cottage cheese + salt + black pepper + chopped herbs + raw egg + dry garlic in powder, mix thoroughly.
2. Spread the cheese mass on the opened sheet of pita bread and roll it up.
3. Place the rolls in a continuous layer in the baking dish (you can cut them to fit the dish).
4. Mix the sour cream, eggs, and salt, and pour the sour cream mixture over the rolls.
5. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180°C.
